Replacing 93 DX antenna, no string, placement near firewall?
Replacing 93 DX antenna, no string, placement near firewall?
Hi all, new to the forum here.
I'm replacing my manual mast antenna in my 93 DX Coupe. On first attempt, I attached a string to the old mast, pulled through but string got stuck. Only way to proceed was to pull the entire mast and string out.
Now I have the replacement antenna in, but cord keeps getting stuck near the end of the windshield and opening to the car/firewall.
Does anyone know where to locate the opening where the cord _should_ be coming through? This was supposed to be a cheap/somewhat quick replacement but now body shops are trying to charge me upwards of $150.
Any help is appreciated.

Straighten a coat hanger, tape the antenna cable to the end of it and bend in whatever direction seems best, and push/wiggle the hanger down into the pillar until you can grab the antenna cable inside the car?
Sorry, I don't have much to work with here.
Old Mazda 626/MX6 used to have a power antenna mast that went through the drivers A pillar, those were a huge PITA but eventually I got fairly quick at replacing those LOL
