1991 honda civic sedan window problem
1991 honda civic sedan window problem
Alright so I got a problem with my front driver side window. It doesn't roll all the way day and I took it to an auto glass place and the guy told me I needed to replace the window gasket. So my problem is I don't know where I can find a window gasket. Ive googled it and I cant find anything on it. I really appreciate the help. thanks.

Pick out your actual car, then find "front door window" in the list.

^Pic like this^
Item # 9 or 17 is the seal.
Catalog, you gotta pick left or right. Left is drivers side.
Catalog calls it CHANNEL, L. FR. DOOR RUN
Catalog also says it's discontinued for the car I looked up. (4 door LX)
So get the part number and google that. See if anyone has it.
Next choice is junkyard parts I guess.

See post 2 above.^^^^..forget this
Look here. Find out for sure what is binding it. I had a 94 that one of the bolts came loose that holds the glass to the lift. . If it's trim, get it out of the way and once window works, you will see what you need. Probably pull door panel first. http://www.collegehillshondaparts.co...or-window-scat

^This.^
I've seen seals come out of the tracks for unknown reasons, sometimes it can go back in ok, and sometimes it gets damaged and needs replaced.
I've seen the metal guide # 8 or 16 break off the anchor tab and cause problems
I've seen the same guides on either end damaged (bent) from accidents
I've seen a ton that just need a liberal dousing of spray silicone lubricant to get the glass to move easier. Years of dirt accumulated in the seal causes the glass to drag.

Thanks for the reply guys! Sorry to come back so late after.
But I saw my thread and thought I'd continue on here instead of starting a new thread.
But I'm trying to figure out what the name of this part is, all that comes up is the plastic on the lower part of the window.
I'm not sure why it came out sideways, sorry. But the part I'm talking about is starting to peel.

Re: 1991 honda civic sedan window problem
The one on the outside, the horizontal moulding with half the black missing?
I think you want # 7/9, 9 is for the left front

NOTE: DX has a different part number from EX and LX so start at the beginning (www.hondaautomotiveparts.com) and look up your own car.
EDIT: Catalog says this one I looked up is discontinued. Good luck searching.
