ive bought an EG Civic last night, after coming home, ive noticed the valve cover, distributor, oil pan, trans housing and CV axles need replacing. i took it to a shop to confirm my suspcion. now, the shop is telling me i have a 1.5 vtec-e? and not a 1.6 vtec

The prepurchase inspection didn't reveal any of these issues?
Lemon? Nah. You bought a USED CAR.
You now own all parts and problems of that USED CAR.
Did it come with a warranty?
Carfax fail?
See what the engine block code is.
See if the hood is still original to the car (VIN labels match?), then see what the emissions label says.
Run the VIN to see what it should have in there.
