93 Civic HB DX
Hey there all, I just bought my first Honda let alone Civic. What are some things to replace and look for the have the car running at top shape(general maintenance I know)? Any aftermarket mods I should do and or buy? Any one else have 93 civic hb dx and what have you done to your car? All help and comments are appreciated.
Re: 93 Civic HB DX
Also looking for advice on what to add to the car for better performance. I don't want to waste my time adding pointless mods just to take them off later because they do nothing.

Re: 93 Civic HB DX
Sounds good I just saw that the timing belt is a big thing that people over look. I want to do a new intake and headers as I get into this project. Any decent websites that have good prices? Thanks for info.
Re: 93 Civic HB DX
Weekend projects are going be replacing the drivebelt and alternator belt. If money permits looking into replacing spark plugs, wires, and distributor cap. Other plans are a good clean of the interior and exterior along with motor spray down to remove grease and oil.
Re: 93 Civic HB DX
So weekend project was a success. Changed the powersteering, a/c, and timing belt. Car runs good cleaned the outside and interior.Just have a few things to remove from car(trash). Also put new wiper blades onand rotated the tires. Next project will be to replace the clutch and mastercylinder along with transmission seal. Looking at picking up a MeganPerformance Racing Resonator that I will be putting on this weekend.
Re: 93 Civic HB DX
So I picked up a Megan Performance Racing Resonator, new air filter(blue), vent breather(blue), and some small odds and ins. That is this weekends projects. Still looking for a clutch. I have a b15b7 anyone know of a good clutch and or clutch kit to use?
Re: 93 Civic HB DX
Thanks brother. Posting pics tomorrow. It's slow work but I think I should finish in 2-3 months. Did not get a chance to put on resonator this weekend but I have access to a shop now so this coming weekend it will be on.
Re: 93 Civic HB DX
If your car is like mine the trim should just pop off. You will need a fiberglass kit to cover the holes where the clips were but other than that its pretty straight forward. I will try and post up some pics of mine here in a bit..
Re: 93 Civic HB DX
Here are some pics of my car as it sits right now. I have the fiberglass kit to finish up the trim I just haven't had the time to finish it up. Also to answer your other question I gutted the rear end mostly for the weight loss but I also didn't want wrestle that rear strut bar in with a full interior.
