Re: 93 Civic HB DX

Also looking for advice on what to add to the car for better performance. I don't want to waste my time adding pointless mods just to take them off later because they do nothing.

Re: 93 Civic HB DX

Sounds good I just saw that the timing belt is a big thing that people over look. I want to do a new intake and headers as I get into this project. Any decent websites that have good prices? Thanks for info.

I use carid.com as my jumping off point. You can check ebay as well but the air filters are generally recognized as crap.

Re: 93 Civic HB DX

Weekend projects are going be replacing the drivebelt and alternator belt. If money permits looking into replacing spark plugs, wires, and distributor cap. Other plans are a good clean of the interior and exterior along with motor spray down to remove grease and oil.

So weekend project was a success. Changed the powersteering, a/c, and timing belt. Car runs good cleaned the outside and interior.Just have a few things to remove from car(trash). Also put new wiper blades onand rotated the tires. Next project will be to replace the clutch and mastercylinder along with transmission seal. Looking at picking up a MeganPerformance Racing Resonator that I will be putting on this weekend.

Re: 93 Civic HB DX

Thanks brother. Posting pics tomorrow. It's slow work but I think I should finish in 2-3 months. Did not get a chance to put on resonator this weekend but I have access to a shop now so this coming weekend it will be on.

Looks like a heat gun (they're cheap) and some careful scraping will get the job done.

Re: 93 Civic HB DX

If your car is like mine the trim should just pop off. You will need a fiberglass kit to cover the holes where the clips were but other than that its pretty straight forward. I will try and post up some pics of mine here in a bit..

Re: 93 Civic HB DX

Here are some pics of my car as it sits right now. I have the fiberglass kit to finish up the trim I just haven't had the time to finish it up. Also to answer your other question I gutted the rear end mostly for the weight loss but I also didn't want wrestle that rear strut bar in with a full interior.
