Going from 2001 EX..to 89 LX problems...
Alright, after 3 auto trannies going bad on the 2001 civic..then it throwing a P1361 code saying the cam has too much play, I decided to give up the 01 civic. Then I bought a 89 Civic LX that has the 1.6 swap.
Really takes off and shifts great! But..here's the problem..
When you're taking off, whether hot or cold, it hesitates, and sometimes stalls out, but it idles fine and doesn't miss. But as soon as you touch the gas pedal, it hesitates and when it DOES take off, it takes off great! Any ideas what I can do to fix this? Thanks!

Ive had my 89 for a couple years and when my brother decided to mess with the throttle cable under the hood it made it idle odd but barely noticeable. that might me your problem
