Has anyone seen something like this?
Kind of a pointless thread but i was cruising the ebay motors and came across this.
1994 Civic VX Hatchback. 300+HP J32A2, 6spd LSD Manual Trans, ICE COLD AC! Only 5 months and 7k miles since full build! Exterior is absolutely flawless, $4000 3 stage paint is absolutely stunning in person. It has so much depth and an amazing gold flake that only comes out in direct sunlight, interior is in great condition as well!! Gets good gas mileage (30+) Hwy. Bullet-proof engine capable of 300k miles with bullet-proof transmission…….This is NOT a high strung engine and will last a VERY long time!! Needs nothing! Hasn’t had a single problem since the day I built it! Good to go for another 100k miles before any service is needed.
This is the cleanest J-Swapped EG Hatch that exists….AND it is the ONLY one I have heard of that has AC!!!
I am a 33 year old Honda Research and Development Engineer. I built this car for myself with an open checkbook and extreme attention to detail using my Honda expertise and all the resources that I have available to me through the company. Everything was built with the absolute best parts and built properly…no corners cut anywhere. I have a LOT of $$$ in the build of this car…not including the 100+ hours of my own personal labor and over a thousand hours of research, planning, and sourcing each and every part of the entire build. I understand that I will be taking a huge hit on selling this car, but I don’t mind….building cars is my passion….
I love the EG hatch, I feel that they are timeless classics and will be highly sought after in the future. I wanted to build a very clean hatch and to make it extremely fast while retaining durability, reliability and fuel economy as it was to be my daily driver, 100 miles per day. I found a clean body VX and I found a low mileage J32A2 to put in it. This is a FAST, clean hatch that can be run hard for hundreds of thousands of miles with stock Honda reliability. What more could you ask for!!!

There was a J swapped hatch in Honda Tuning mag not to long ago. 4k seems low for a motor with that much miles! It's probably fun as hell to drive but I would have to cover the hole in the hood for daily driving.

Yeah that looks more like it would be a weekend met up or show car, dont now if i would use it as a daily driver..

There's a guy that did that, and managed to fit the engine under the hood completely.. Although, the swap was done in a 6thgen hatch as opposed to the 5thgen in OP's link
