help i have idle problem 94 b20

I have a 1994 Honda civic with a b20 and once the car is warmed up the idle jumps from nearly 0 to 800. I checked the fitv that's closed I installed a aicv and used it for a hour and returned it cause still same idle issue. replaced my o2 sensor. I didn't see and vacuum leaks around the Intake manifold. I'm pretty sure there is no air in my radiator but I can't b sure cause there is no bleeder. What else can it be?

Re: help i have idle problem 94 b20

Bump. Still having small idle issues. I replaced my intake manifold with a blox im. Replaced my tps sensor with blox. I had a few stripped bolts and a leak coming from the gasket that was causing idle issues. Idle problem still continued so i replaced my radiator with blox and bled the system idle continued. Replaced my tps sensor with blox. Was missing a screw and was completely broken on the inside.flushed my air idle control valve for like 15 minutes. Idle problem has gotten a heck of alot better. The problem im having now is it jumps up n down when i start it when its warmed up, anyone know what it could be? I ordered a new iacv should get it delivered soon. Also my idle is at 1100 rmps i was messing with the idle screw allot too any tips on how to properly adjust it?

If you replaced all that you did and the parts are alright then I am betting on air and a leak still. I thought I had all my idle issues worked out too until I started spraying carb cleaner around and found a missed spot. Good thing to do and its a cheap test. But replace the valve and then do a REALLY thorough bleed. I try to do it when I have my civic up on ramps to ensure I am getting the bubbles moved up and out. The only things I have heard folks mention when idle problems come up are the TPS, the idle control valve or screw being out of place, and air in the coolant. Burping the system is a pain with time but I am banking on that as your issue.

Have you opened the idle control and screwed down the porcelain ring? that thing being loose is a cause too.

Ill be double checking all my lines again but i did check them when i replaced my intake manifold cause they were easy to spot with the im gone. I haven't checked the ring. But i got a new aicv on the way so i will find out if that's my problem soon enough when the new one comes

I go with the cheapest fix first unless its obvious. Pull the IACV and clean the contact to the throttle really well. That cant hurt. Do you have a T inserted on your heat hose at all? make sure the lines are tight if so.

Re: help i have idle problem 94 b20

So i got my aicv today and installed it i let the car idle for 30 l minutes and the idle issue got worse lol. Do you think i still need to bleed the system? I also noticed a while ago that my intake air temp sensor located on my intake manifold is held on by one bolt and has no gasket could that be my problem?

Eh maybe. I have a few things like my VSS sensor with one bolt or screw. Not been any issues. But cant hurt.
If you didnt bleed the lines after the install then i would def try that. Ive had to roll my EX onto ramps and burp for a good 20 minutes to be sure of it before. Easy task and if the issue its cheap.
Is the bouncy idle still the only symptom? does it waver or get worse when you drive the car a bit?
