Hey all My names Blake. new to the hole "car" industry if you will say haha I REALLY DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT CARS. anyway ever sence i was a kid playing the need for speed games i have ALWAYS said my first car is going to be a honda civic and well....IT IS so i bought a 1994 Honda Civic Auto 4 speed red, came with a vtec engine nice looking rims, low profile tires, HID lights and a pair of 10's in the trunk interrier was clean it had just been painted(i can tell they painted over my licends plate lights and i got a ticket for it -_- the only thing i did to it was put on a air intake . i think its an SI but i have no idea as the car did not come with an owners manual(i know stupid part on me but it was my first time buying a car) sadly there was alot more problems with this car than what was told. the guy took this car to the shop got new fan to cool the engine so i was like alright this guy seems ligit he even fixed the promblem before he sold it to me.....yea....got the car in my name(did you no for your first registration you have to pay $500 just to get the title signed to m thought that was bullshit. so i got my car everything was just fine for a couple weeks...then it all started. FIRST everytime i would turn my car on both the front blinkers would go on and stay on?!?! odd right? well took it to my mechanic and he took out some aftermarket alarm system that was interfeering with the cords or something i dont know. also the car would have a hard time starting so i told him to replace the cylonoid and starter. did that started driving for a week...then all of a sudden it doesnt start AT ALL bought some gas but it in my car still nothing -_- so me and a buddy towed my car to the shop(its just a couple blocks away but still being pulled by a truck with only a chain was scetchy!!!!! got it to the shop he said there was some kinda lock in the engine that was broken off so it was just grinding on the part when trying to start it. fixed that.. even the timing belt was off he said so he fixed that. now i dont no exactly what kinda engine it was just know its a 1.6 4 cylender VTEC. well a couple days after that i was driving it i see the oil light come on, what the hell i took this car to get every fluid changed the day i bought it?!?! didnt really think anything of it went to walmart bought some oil went home poored more oil in as it was low, THE EXACT SAME DAY (my stupidity again) this suv with a bunch of douch bags cept calling me a ricer and saying they could take my car on in what they had, i couldnt just let them talk **** knowing my car would beet there **** ride. so i put the pedel to the metal and suprisingly the suv got the lead but then i over took them then tryed to slow down to rub it in there faces and they just blew by me. almost home sitting at a stop light my car stalls... got it to start but going down the rode my machenics shop is., it stalls again thankfully the garage was right there so i just let it roll into the parking lot. tryed starting it NOTHING it was turning over but nothing after about 5 min trying to start it i here click click click click really not knowing what it was got my mechanic and he said my engine was blown cuz i blew a rod. couse was the oil pump it had gone out earlier that day seeing why the oil light came on sooo right now im getting a new engine the mechanic said this was a "Hot rod engine that they sell fast and that there are kids in other states that want the engine( i didnt ask what it was VTEC at least) but im paying $900 for the engine and how much ever for instalashon so im looking at around $2,000. also my secound gear wines out more than it should people say and sometimes(just somtimes) it doesnt want to rev out of secound it just keeps doing the rev sound untill i let off the gas a little for it to change to 3rd. is that a trasnmishon problem or will that problem go away with the engine? anyway after i get my car back i just want to know if theres anything I can do to work on this car a little with a $0 budget the repairs killed me and i only have enough to swap the tranny if thats bad as well now when i say work on it. i mean any in car tune ups i can make? id like ANY hints anything to help me out with my car.
