dpfi to mpfi conversion
dpfi to mpfi conversion
ok well there are many ways to do this. Repinning, splicing...etc....yea itll work but it wasnt for me. I did the WHOLE swap the right way the first time and avoided further issues. Bay harness, cabin harness whole shebang there. I will have a full write up with pix to come soon as i carry on with this journey. So far ive got the intake mani, bay harness dash, and console assembly removed and about half of the cabin harness.
Re: dpfi to mpfi conversion
im usin a b6 harness. I know what im doin bro lol. Im starting a write up on it is all lol, so itll be here for the next unfortunate person lol. the previous owner swapped a si cluster and clock bezel in it, now everytime i would hit the left turn signal the rpm gauge would fluctuate and my hazards made my bright light indicator come on, and my brights made my left parking lamp brighten up lol. not to mention they hacked the hell outta the cabin harness, so im goin the long route and doing it right the first time and not having to redo it later. Also it gives me the chance to do a wire tuck lol. been wanting to do the mpfi conversion for a week and when i started messin with it today i found all the harness probs so. hopefully ill have it dont tomorrow or the next day. all i gotta do is get the rest of the cabin harness out and run all the new harness and reassemble everything.
