Engine bogs around 1400 rpm.
I cruise around 1750 and shift at around 2250. Its a 5M/T. Where am i supposed to cruise and shift at? cuz im getting 24mpg which is really low.. and i drive slow... Maintenance is up to date
fresh oil change, engine timing ok, air filter ok, spark plugs/distrubutor cap/wires ok, new fuel filter, brakes ok, new tires, wheel alignment ok, no check engine light
see the thing is, i have other friends with civics and they drive way harder than i do.. and they get 28mpg
1993 civic. 1.5L On the back of the car it says its a EX trim, but i looked up the vin and it says its a LX trim so i dont know...

I own a DX, so my cluster doesn't include a tachometer. But I usually shift at 10mph (1st-2nd), 25mp(2nd-3rd), 35mph(3rd-4th), and 45mph(4th-5th). Get's me 35mpg in the winter, 39 in the summer.
If you're not getting above 30, and your car is completely stock, then there's definitely a problem you need to look into.

Add LC20, your car is getting older so it might simply be that the fuel injectors and such aren't working as efficiently.
Also consider changing your 02 sensor if you haven't done so, that will give a noticeable improvement in fuel efficiency.
