2 hoses on left side of motor???
2 hoses on left side of motor???
I have a 95 civic i was cleaning somethings under the hood today and i notice that there was 2 hoses not connected to nothing the one hose came from the car almost to the motor and the other one comes from the motor right below the throttle i dont know if they connect to each other but they both have metal peices at the end kinda looks like bolts could anyone give me any ideas what it might be to
Re: 2 hoses on left side of motor???
Really hard to tell from those pics. Can't really even tell what part of the engine they are at. I am almost thinking it's your heater core being blocked. Almost looks like the return line. Any chance you have a real camera to snap the pics?
Is the hose coming from the firewall near another one of the same size?
What would you say is the outer diameter of the hose?
Is that a disconnected port under your hand in the second pic? (just to the left of the arrow)

Re: 2 hoses on left side of motor???
in the first pic its connected to the intake manifold i believe on the left side of the motor the other one is connected to the car i guess the fire wall they are about the same size i dont know why they have bolts in them though i was thinking bout utting a new hose on to connect to both ends but not sure i dont think its been affecting the car. i know my tps is bad but other then that nothing
Re: 2 hoses on left side of motor???
I'm still guessing the heater core. Not sure why it would be blocked off unless it was leaking.
The bolts are in there to keep the fluid from coming out. Pull out one of the bolts and see if it's coolant in the line.
Check your heater and see if it blows hot air.

Zoom out some so we can get some context as to where it really is. Taking a picture of just the hose won't help us locate where it is/what it's supposed to do. Heater core hoses does sound like a possibility.
Re: 2 hoses on left side of motor???
IF it is the heater core, there are only 2 reasons I can think of that it was cut and plugged. Either the hose leaked and they were too lazy to replace it, or more likely the heater core leaks, which would require replacing it.
You need to make sure what it is first. The pics below are from a 94 DX D15B7.
The hose in the first pic which comes from the intake goes right back to the water outlet below it. Both circled in yellow.
The hose in the second pic goes to the heater core. It looks like yours based on the clip.
So to me, it looks like the hose in your second pic is to the heater core and connects to the intake manifold. Not sure if they rerouted the hoses in 05 or if yours is a 1.6.
