Re: 2 problems 1 the idle is jumping 2....
There are a few diff things that can cause the idle to "jump"
1. LOW COOLANT
2. VACUUM LEAK/LEAKS
3. IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE.
Check to see if you are low on coolant first off, if not you can look at all vacuum line make sure there not broke or anything.
Best way to check is with a smoker witch you would have to take to your local shop to have them do it.
IAC valve is the most common reasion this happens, IAC on your car is bolted to the back side of the intake, it has coolant that runs through it. Un bolt it and check to make sure it isnt clogged up. youll see a srean on the inside it will be black with carbon. just spray it down with car cleaner and scrub it lightly with an old tooth brush. One of these should take care of your problem.

check the idle air control valve on the bottom of the throttle body. take the plate off the back theres two 8 mill screws there. next theres a white ball with two slits on it. now take a flat head driver and whine it down.put it back together and your all done. start the car of corse and she back to norm. have fun
