Hey guys, i drive a 95 Honda Civic Coupe DX with a D16Z6 Vtec. Everytime i go to take off in 1st gear, as i slowly disengage the clutch, it sounds like there's rattling coming from underneath the car. What could this possibly be? Also, is it a DIY?

Also, when i reach a certain RPM (usually 3000) i get a quick High Pitch Humming sound. This one almost sounds like its coming from the passenger side of the engine bay or even the ECU :s

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check for cracks on your exhaust manifold. Seems to be the most common issue.

As for the humming, does it also sound like it's coming from the passenger vents? I get that too but it's a high pitch hum when I turn on the fan.

Cracks in the manifold ill have to check when i get in tomorrow night.

As for the humming, i never have the fan on and it still tends to make the sound.

heat shield would be my guess (if not over exhaust manifold, then over cat)
