Tire and fender rubbing >:/

I have currently installed Skunk2 sport shocks and Blox Competition lowering springs on my 95 coupe. My tires now constantly rub on the fender causing it to wear much more quickly. How can i prevent this? Ive heard about rolling the fender...is this a good idea? and how can i get this done?

Body shop can do it for you. It should fix your issue.

Re: Tire and fender rubbing >:/

I had a problem like this before but I had a set of 19in rims with the wrong offset on my civic. Make sure your tires not too wide for your car 215s are usually the best fit. About the fender to keep my tires from rubbing I used a rubber hammer to beat the fender in. It worked quiet well but in addition to that I had lifted my car with my coilovers. Eventually I got tired of not being able to have passengers and went back to my 18s and dropped my car with my coilovers.

don't use a rubber mallet to roll your fenders.. Either rent a fender rolling tool or use a baseball bat with a t-shirt or towel wrapped around it.. if you search for "fender bat" I'm sure you can find a DIY guide or ideas on how to do it.

I wouldn't attempt it. Even with a baseball bat. A body shop will do it properly (sometimes). If you crack the paint around the fender you will start to get rust in the cracks of the paint over a relatively short period of time. Rust sucks.

Eh, nothing a heat gun and a whole lot of patience can't avoid.. either that or nothing that some non-visible clear coating/touch up paint can't fix

^True, I guess I'm basing it on my lack of patience

Me, too.. Unless I'm working on my car to let off some steam. Then I do everything slow and patient.

If I knew how to post pics of my car from an iPhone to this forum I would show you that the rubber hammer works perfectly fine you just have to know what you're doing and not beat it like a stepchild lol.
