Ok...here goes...live in Canada...bought a 92 dx automatic coupe with 1.8...180k...7 times out of ten it starts fine...but then...pop in for gas...or stop for a coffee...or run into the post office...or in for lunch somewhere...turns over but won't start. Wait 10-15 minutes and it starts right up...starts fine for the next 7 trips or so and then...happens again!

I have a great Burmese mechanic/advisor who's a real Honda Guy but he's stumped.

I tell him its a ghost.

During the time its not starting there are no trouble lights, its getting gas, has spark...the battery is fine with good ground and clean tight connections.

New ignition coil.

He checked the Main relay and says its fine.

Timing belt is new.

The aftermarket distributor appears new.

Removed the security system...my Burmese mechanic says now we should try a new distributor...I'm thinking an exorcist....whatta all you think?

vapor lock? lol. maybe its a fuel delivery problem.
