Okay my ex has the d16z6 motor, but i had this sudden problem today. I turned the car on and seemed to run fine, until suddenly it started bogging then it stalled out. THen it will start back up but not very smoothly then it will run for about 10 min. tops and then bog and turn off. Even when idling it does this. I took it out and ran it and it was fine until it was idling for 5+ min. and it bogged and turned off? I do not know what is wrong???

Your answer... im sick of randomly having to pull off the road
Could be a few differant things. Coil and/or the igniter, fuel pump breaking down, map sensor. Unless you know how to test these parts yourself its hard for anyone to help fix it over the net.

yeah its up at the shop as we speak lol but its prob not anything in the fuel line because the car shouldnt have even started back up all these times it would have just went off completely so it has to be electrical or some kind of sensor, but the sensor doesn make sense because no CEL is on o well waitin for the call to see whats wrong

Okay well i guess i will try the fuel pump because when the car was at the shop it ran perfectly fine and now its acting up again i changed the battery in the car already becasue that was dying to from the car turning of and on constantly at the shop and while me driving it so i got a new one it started right up then the next morning the car kicked and then turned off i guess fuel pump is the next choice

check your dist cap too..had a similar problem with mine and replaced it with a new one and its all good now. Also check your intake sensors....map...tps...ettc. Its got to be a ignition or elec issue.
