Question Ok so I am new....A little long

I have spent the last few days since becoming a member here trying to answer my own questions but maybe I am just to slow in the brain housing group to figure it out on my own...A little about myself I own a 91 civic that is bone stock except for a K&N intake, I bought the car for $300 from my cousin and spent another $400 to get it to pass smog here in So Cal...For the past few years I have been building my F-150 into a better off road truck and I have never owned anything as small as this civic....I don't know anything about civics but I figure that if I can do an Engine swap in my 99 F-150 I can pretty much handle anything a Civic can throw at me.

My first question is that I have seen several abbreviations like K20 or B__ something having to do with engine swaps.

My second question is what should I upgrade first with this car, I have thrown $15,000 at my F-150 and now I want to turn my attention to the Civic....I already have plans for the stereo, tint, and paint but any suggestions will be welcomed with open arms.

K20, B18, D16, etc are all engine codes.
You'll find yours right on the front of your block, etched in a little square area.
The First letter represents the series (look up Honda engine series on wikipedia), and the two numbers afterwards represent the size (2.0L, 1.8L, 1.6L).

As far as modifications, you should do whatever your heart desires. The most common first mods are Intake/Header/Exhaust for a little power, and sometimes wheels and suspension. If you're looking for more power, look into turbos.
