Oil Leaking and Idling Problem

Just recently i've noticed that my 93 civic cx was leaking oil from the oil filter. Making me think that the oil filter seal went bad and when i changed it, it started leaking around there again. But this time it's leaking a lot less than before. I don't know what is causing this situation to happen. Has anyone on here have this problem before? And if so, how did you fix it?

And also when i drive the car for a few miles, the car starts idling really low to the point where it could touch the zero line. If i get the car started in first gear it would be fine but after i stop again, the car would idle around maybe if i had to take a guess, it would be at 100-150 rpm. It's to a point where it would stall even if it was in neutral. When i could to a stop at an intersection, the car would shutter really hard and then i would just put it back into gear and give it a little gas so it wouldn't stall out on me when i drive it. I was thinking that i could just adjust the throttle, but i don't know where to adjust it from. Some people tell me do it from the cable itself, and others tell me that i would do it electronically. Does anyone know how would i do this? After driving for another 30 minutes, and i stop at another intersection, it would idle around 600-650 rpm's. Then this problem wouldn't even occur again after a long drive. Right now i would like to know what's wrong with it? Would it be anything really to the engine not getting enough fuel? Or would it be related to the fuel lines having moisture in there? The gas in the car was originally in there for a very long time, we're talking about maybe 3 months. The car wasn't being driven for a very long time. Has anyone have any advice on this and/or might of fixed there problem?

Re: Oil Leaking and Idling Problem

For the idle problems, replace or clean the air filter if you haven't already, my 89 si crx had that issue when the filter has hella dirty.

Secondly, pop in some injector cleaner in the tank (at every oil change) and then fill up on some high octane gas.

If those don't do it, check the plugs.

Re: Oil Leaking and Idling Problem

one thing that i have noticed with alot of imports ids that you have to wrench the filter down tight to keep it from leaking. and in all the shops i have worked in the first thing they tell me is if u get an import ing and have to change the filter to make sure it is filter wrenched tight. as for the low idle check your pcv valve and the fuel filter
