1993 Honda Civic si 1.6l in-line4 dohc vtec

I am in need of a new exhaust system ASAP. I have holes in mine and keep getting hassled by local police about the noise.

Need something that is pretty quiet. I need your suggestions, my knowledge about cars is limited...

Have you checked your local Scrap yard for an Exhaust from a 93 civic same model as your or looked into after market with a possiable silencer???

Thats were i would start is looking for the stock 1 in a scrap yard then aftermarket or threw a parts store.

No scrap yards to be found around here...
Seems to me that exhaust systems are dependent upon the type of engine in one's car, but exhaust systems are sold based on the model of the car. So I am reluctant to go searching/shopping around lest I make a mistake and end up with something I can't use. So I figured I'd just come to this forum and let someone with knowledge on the issue tell me what to do.

Well I would look around, Im sure you have a Car parts store such as #1 eww and Napa around dont u? look around in stores like that, or go C a Mecanic and C if they can just order 1 for u and u install my only other thoughts for u... im curently looking for a better exhaust for my car as we speak.. I keep an eye out for your model car and the 1.6 engine..lata

I went to another local mechanic (the first one refused to work on it), he put on a stock muffler and did some other work. The car is like totally silent now. I've definitely lost a few HP but ya gotta do what ya gotta do to avoid getting tickets by my local cops. Thanks for the help serrillion
