What engine could I put in an '89 Civ...
i'm acquiring an '89 racing machine... i say racing machine because it doesn't have the interior... just a driver seat and dash.. and i want this baby to haul *** so what kind of engine can i throw in it... it's an 89 Civic DX... i want to throw in the most powerful engine that would fit...

Rep Power: 0 hahahah well i'm stealing the engine from this body and throwing it in my '86 then i think i'm gonna throw an H22A in this one... sounds good and powerful... without going extremely overboard... but this would be a two year project unless i work two full time jobs... then i think i could work on both cars!!! '86 sleeper and '89 street machine!!

K20 will give you the best bang for your buck and have the newest technology.
But you have to look at the outline of the engine bay.
