How do you ground the trunk light of a '98 honda civic coupe?
There is current running through the wires and everything but the light wont turn on unless i ground it (i ground it with a tester). From what i've read online, which should be happening but isn't, once the trunk is open the circuit should be complete. Meaning when you open the trunk some how the light gets grounded and comes on. And that's what i want to know how to do. Thank you for your help.

i've been messing with that on my DX and i saw that the ground is provided by the trunk latch. i can't seem to make them work since my car didn't come with a trunk light and i'll have to wire them up somewhere.
