Gauge Swap Cluster Questions?

When I go to put a factory tachometer gauge in my 5-Speed DX, how do I get the fuel gauges to read the same level? You cannot move them, as they may snap off. I want to know what to do before I jump into it.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Gauge Swap Cluster Questions?

If your putting a tach cluster in you will be replacing the whole unit ? you shouldn't have to worry about touching the needles? if the new clusters gauges are off (like if it came out of a car with a full tank of gas) and your car is empty, as soon as you turn the car on they will adjust.

Re: Gauge Swap Cluster Questions?

As far as I know, the only information stored in the cluster is the odometer. You put the new cluster in, it'll indicate incorrect mileage, unless you pay to get it fixed.
