Clutch problem
Clutch problem
98 dx with 170k miles and I think the original clutch.
2 weeks ago I thought I noticed the clutch pedal felt different
now the clutch pedal goes almost to the floor before it engages. Also I have to pump it and hold the clutch for about a minute before car will go into gear. The clutch has never slipped driving down the road though so I was wondering if it can be adjusted or if the clutch is just gone bad
Thanks

Re: Clutch problem
Clutch fluid reservoir is now empty? Refill with DOT 3 BRAKE FLUID
You may only need to pump the snot out of it to restore pedal, or if trapped air can't be expelled you might need to bleed it manually....
A hydraulic clutch system almost never needs anything adjusted. They are designed to be self compensating.
