96 d16y8 loss of power for a second

My car will act like its bogging down for a couple seconds and then run like a top. Did it to me this morning but drove 100 plus miles yesterday and didn't have a single problem. I know my knock sensor is broke but still shoved together and I do not have a cel on. Could it be the knock sensor or oxygen sensor possibly?

Unplug the primary O2 sensor and drive it a few days to see if the problem has disappeared.
If problem is gone, sensor is bad (intermittent fail).

I will try that. I just found out my knock sensor finally fell apart into pieces. I have a new one just didn't put it in yet. I just drove it home from work without a problem but now it seems when it's idling it goes from about 900 to 1400 rpms back and forth at an idle.

Does it have fault codes for knock sensor or the O2 sensor?

If it's coded for the front O2 sensor, that's a huge clue it's bad. Duh.
when it's idling it goes from about 900 to 1400 rpms back and forth at an idle.
Check coolant level in the radiator, make sure it's completely full.
Check for vacuum leaks.
Fix other known problems and see if this goes away.
