How does it sound to you?
Does the muffler or exhaust have a removable baffle?
If so, the packing (usually a single layer of fiberglass wrapped around the baffle) is to make it a little quieter.
My motorcycle exhaust has removable baffles that used to be wrapped with fiberglass.
Used to be.
Used to have baffles installed too.
Not no more LOL
