Ugg!! I bought this 1998 civic which has rear drum brakes. It made a clicking noise only when braking somewhat lightly. I thought I would replace the brakes and that would solve the issue. NOT SO MUCH!! still doing it..... I did not replace the drums as they appeared to be in good shape.

driving there is no noise, only when braking and it is a clicking noise... Has anyone else experienced this and if so what was it?

I recently got a 1998 civic ex and I'm experiencing this aswell. I didn't have any problems until I changed the breaks on it. My left rear is making a strange noise that somewhat goes away for a day or 2 when I adjust the star adjuster but then it come's back. When I brake hard the noise goes away. I hope someone knows what could be causing this.
