Joining the Sark Side. (Vtec)

Got a cheap d16y8 head for 100$ Came with block and a few other things. Will need to replace valve stem seal and figure a way to take out the broken valve cover bolts out or replace the whole valve cover/cam housing.

Anything fun I should know about? I know about the whole Vafc or p28 ecu set up

or replace the whole...cam housing.
If you are talking about the cam journal caps, they are built and machined as an integral part of the head.

The journal halves (caps) on this head must stay with this head.
In order.
They must always go on the journals they were machined (matched) to.
This is why they are always stamped - numbered or lettered - in order.

If you ruin any, the whole head should be junked.

figure a way to take out the broken valve cover bolts
If you can't do it, just take it to a machinist that can. It's a whole lot harder to correct it after someone butchers it trying to get them out the wrong way.
