Need a hood, bad.

After my accident in March my hood wouldn't close, I had a carabiner holding it closed until today when a bolt on my hood latch and the carabiner broke at the same time and hit my windshield going like 60 on the freeway. Anybody know of a place in the bay area to get a cheap hood quickly? There's one for 100 in Oakland but cheaper would be nice. Just thought I'd ask. Thanks for the help.

Edit: It's a 1999 EX 4 Door, in case you need to know.

Re: Need a hood, bad.

I picked up a hood online for about $100 shipped after my accident. It even came with the hood latch.
I think $100 is the cheapest you will find one, and I go it painted for another $100 bucks.

I would highly suggest, that before you put the new hood on, make sure the metal "bar" that the rad is mounted on does not have any bends or anything in it. This piece is welded onto the frame, and is a huge pain to replace. I ended up strapping tow ropes on to it, and pulling out the bends with my friends truck. It is still not perfect, but from the outside, it looks fine.

Re: Need a hood, bad.

I ended up going to Oakland to Nation Auto Parts, they had a good selection. Yeah the headlight recess on my Radiator support is a bit bent but the hood still closes all the way. I just can't get it to close and lock until I go buy a hood hinge, I was gonna buy it when I went to Oakland but I waited because I'm dumb. Now I gotta find a place that sells them. Criagslist literally had nothing .
