Im wanting to update my car(97 civic) to look closer to a stock 99-00 civic coupe. I have multiple questions on what and how i can do things. First off, can the rear lights out of the 99-00 work with the earlier 6th gen? Can i convert my heater, a/c, radio and all similar controls to that of the 99-00? I also need to replace the header and heat shield, my car came from up north and they are both extremely oxidized and rusted through; what route should i take? Lastly whats the best CAI for the 6th gen Y8?(more for mpg the mph)

Re: conversion

the tail lights should be a quick bolt on.
the front end would need bumper, grill, hood and both fenders, and maybe wheel well liners if you'd want to go further.
the a/c control and radio layout would need the dash. I'd have to read up more on that. i was thinking of doing the conversion as well, but might fare better with a complete swap from the yard. not sure about the cost though.
a new header, relocated catalytic converter and moved oxygen sensors.
I'm biased towards AEM.

Re: conversion

hey,
just bought my first civic 2007. What is the blinking blue light at the top of the windsheild? Does it just let you know that the secuity is working or maybe not working, which ever the case may be?

welcome to civic forums but just so you know, you are posting in an existing thread with a different topic, this is thread hi jacking please do not do this, also since you have a 7007 you should be posting in the 8th gen section.

thank you

Re: conversion

The trunk is different too. The lights on it are shaped different. The quarter panels are the same.

Re: conversion

on the coupes the tail lights shapes are the exact same 96-98 has orange on them 99-00 are just red/white.

Same for the hatches as for coupes same shape different colors

On the sedans the shape on the trunk lid is more square on the 96-98 and 99-00 sedans have a slight slant.
