Got a less worn out key to try? Try a new key that wasn't duped, have it cut by the key code. Might just be a worn out key.

Does that mean you can or can't turn the cylinder to LOCK? Your answer wasn't clear to me.
And yes, keys wear out. Just grind all the teeth flat on one and try your locks.
