Transmission cooler install

I'm looking to install a transmission cooler on my 97 honda civic delsol. I bought it for 2,500 last year (its an automatic but only has 169k on it). Transmission runs solid I just want it to last. I drive back and forth between CT and NYC and the car is currently kept in CT until I get it to the driving shape I would like it in. I saw this site because at one time someone had uploaded photos for a transmission cooler install. Any suggestions?

Re: Transmission cooler install

you could, B&M makes a few smaller units. but these trans hardly get hot enough to need a separate cooler unless you are always driving in 85F+ temps. the install is fairly easy. just find a place to mount it between the radiator and condensor, then tap into one of the stock trans cooling lines. the best thing you can do to make a trans last longer is change the fluid more often.
