Hi, I have the civic ex 2000 and I just was wondering what the difference between installing a magnaflow exhaust system and installing an ansa muffler would be? I'm sort of new to this and am just doin mods for fun. If someone could help me on the differences and which to install or other recommends please do so. thanks

Well, a muffler is just a muffler. If you install an exhaust system, that usually includes the muffler, along with the pipe. Most of the times from the catalytic converter and back. You really won't see much of a boost in performance. If you want to see any gains, you should probably start with the exhaust headers and work from there. Might as well go for the full system.

It doesnt give much performance increase, people add them on for the sound and look of an aftermarket muffler. If you want performance you should do more engine work then add your exhaust to help the enginge breathe better once it is making more power.
