My 97 Honda Civic HX has 230,000 miles. I took my car to the Honda Dealer Repair Shop the other day and the techs said my car needs a valves adjustment to clear the misfire codes (check engine light). The car runs fine but I need to clear the check engine light to pass smog: the dealer tech was aware of this first hand so he inspected the car. Is it recommended to get the valves adjusted? Btw, they recommended to change the spark plug and spark plug wires too. Which I'm gonna do myself (easy). The distributor cap and rotor are new so I don't need to replace. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
