How do I install aftermarket tail lights?

I am in the process of trying to figure out how to instal the aftermarket lights for the car. The only problem is that they are different. The stock lights that go in the trunk have 2 slots.....one for reverse and the other for brake lights. The aftermarket ones only have one slot. Plz help. I have the smoked LED tail lights. Also how do I get the brake lights to show red?

if it's LED, you should have gotten an adapter harness along with the lights to plug into your OEM connector. is it an ebay set? could you post a link or a pic to better illustrate what you're trying to show red.

Re: How do I install aftermarket tail lights?

I am back in Iraq right now but I'll swing by autozone and pick up that book to help me out. I should be back in December. Hopefully by then I can get some good pics up on here. Installed cat back exhaust and front body kit.....gonna trade that in for a simple lip kit though. Don't wanna make it look too ricey though. I'm debating whether it will be worth it to do the B18 swap or just do a little work to the existing D16Y8. I'm not looking for a whole lot of speed...just a little more than I have now. It's pretty satisfying as far as speed right now but I do want a little extra.
