ECU and air pods problems...info needed

hey is it true if u put on a high flow pod filter, it can mess around with your ECU??

confusing the engine with the different amounts of air intake??

if so can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this problem

Re: ECU and air pods problems...info needed

The theory I heard is that the less encumbered air is moving in larger, slower quantities. The ECU perceives this as denser air and therefore takes less of it in which throws off the air to fuel ratio. I'm not actually sure if this is a real problem or one of those supposed problems that people pass around when talking about cars.

its the map sensor that throws the ecu off how to check it easy.....first if your c.e.l comes on get a code reader if it says code error or give you a number check to see if the number adds up to one of the sensors if its your air flow sensor then its your map sensor problem solved disconnect the battery for 15 seconds re connect and bingo the cel will go off

Re: ECU and air pods problems...info needed

the map sensor should be good for richer air and 5-8 psi without throwing codes

get a synapse valve for the map sensor its a peice of metal that goes on your map sensor keeping the map sensor from dettecting boost or denser air
