I backed into a fire hydrant and hit the back bumper pretty hard. A small 1 inch dent in the bumper but not so much that I need a new bumper. Since then every time I turn on the left turn signal on, it ticks at a faster or slower rate. Kinda annoying since I know it's not normal and pretty noticeable when I turn a lot when driving in city.

Can anyone help on how to fix this or where to start looking for the problem?

Have you checked to make sure the bulb is not burnt out? They usually blink faster when a bulb is gone.
