Body Kit on 2000 Civic SI?

I have a red 2000 SI and would really like to put a body kit on it. I know a lot of people are going to hate but it's what I want to do.

I was thinking of the NX Wide Body Kit from AIT.

It would be a commuter and I'd get it painted Silver. Is this too much? I think that civic looks amazing.

Man that Civic looks like ***... the body kit, the wing, whatever the **** happened to the doors.. and is that a hood scoop??

The horror!

Why don't you get a nice lip kit instead? Much more tasteful. Body kits rarely fit properly and usually end up sagging and cracking and stuff.

That looks like major work for that kit, I mean the body shop that would do better know what they are doing. If I was you I would go with a good quality urethane kit.

Hmm, I like the look of these SI Civics as well. Can anyone tell me specifically what exterior mods have been done? They both look sweet.

If you look at the top red civic, just looks like a stock front bumper and a lip put on, plus a new grill. The side skirts might even be stock.

The blue one has a new front bumper and side skirts.

If you shop around you will find a lot of different options.

BYS front bumper (or OEM CTR lip on an OEM bumper), stock side skirts professionally painted, and Mugen rear spats.

I remember 1998... When rice was really cool. Now JDM is "Epic"... do whatever YOU like... not ^ Them.

Just remember, that kit is LOTS of work and LOTS of maintenance... especially when the thing starts cracking and the paint starts chipping... This is the kind of crap that's left for show cars, not daily drivers. If your car is a show car, I apologize.
