Air/Fuel Gauge Install

Hey all, I'm new to this so I'm hoping someone could help. How do I go about learning hot to install an Air/Fuel gauge off of my 02 sensor? (What wire do I tap into). And how do I know if my car is a wide or narrow band? I have a 98 DX. Thanks!

Re: Air/Fuel Gauge Install

i would not install it. the gauge takes power from the sensor and screws up the ecu readings which will kill the O2 sensor over time and make your car run poorly. you have a narrowband sensor anyway, so the gauge will be totally useless even if you hook it up. it will just act like a blinking light show with no info at all. if you actually need to monitor your a/f ratio, you gotta go with a new wideband sensor and its own gauge for around $300. and you must have a bung welded on for the new sensor to install it in the exhaust. the stock sensor you leave alone.
