Lightbulb D16Y7 What will it fit in?

I have a d16y7 i took out of a 98 civic. What other year civics can i put it in? It has a manuel tranny on it now will it work with an automatic tranny? Seems like alot of question, really just want to know wich years would be practicle, and wich to not look at. Thank you for any help you can give.

i have a 97 dx with a 99 d16y7 i got the unit with auto my car is 5 spd changed fly wheel and intake and its good to go.

The d16y7 from a 98 will fit any 96-00 Civic, bolt-in. That being said, you can fit that engine into any car you want to, just takes money to fabricate mounts to do so. Wiring becomes interesting if it isn't into a 96-00 Civic though .
