hey everyone, yesterday my clutch started slipping very bad as i powershifted. so i thought that my clutch gotten worned out, so i drove the car today around the block and when i pulled into the drive way the car was smoking. as i jacked up the car, i saw that the transmission oil was leaking out. the leak is coming from the seam where the transmission is bolted onto the engine. so my clutch wasn't slipping due to wearing out, but it was due to tranny oil being splashed all over the clutch assembly. however, my question is this, has this happen to anyone before? i'm going to be taking off the tranny tonight, but the question is this, will i have to replace my transmission or will i or a mechanic will be able to fix the leak somehow?

depends on whats leaking.

Are you sure it's tranny fluid and not motor oil? If it's motor oil then you'll need to replace the main seal.
