I got a set of lowering springs from a 97 accord for free will they fit onto my 96 hatch and what are some good but kinda inexpensive struts/shocks.

No they won't fit. Sell them and use that money to buy something else. You'll need to mention how you intend to use your car and what your budget you can get a good recommendation.

darn oh well, ill just have to sell them. I want to lower my car but not too much, as i usually have up to five people including me total in my car so it does get heavy(back seat is getting stripped out i hate being the "taxi") and i drive alot in town were the roads are not all that great but i just want maybe a max of 2 inch drop just to get that wheel gap to be gone. I do drive aggressive on windy back roads and would like good handling too but im on a very tight budget for this car. Anybody got some good advice as to what i should get. All the help i can get is appreciated thanks.
