I dont understand, I got into my car yesterday ant put the keys in to start it i accidently let the starter run for too long (as we all have done before) so i turned the keys to the fully off position then went to start it again and it woudnt the starter was just spinning, i tried bumping it no luck then the battrey went dead so i went to jump it and the engine earthing cable MELTED! and came apart so today i went to a scrapyard an got a new cable but i am still at square 1 the motor is just spinning not engaging at all would i need a new starter motor? or would it be the spark plugs?

does it have an immobilizer? i know if my immobilizer ring falls off the ignition coil, the car will turn over but not start.

yes it has an immobilizer its a toad alarm, were is the ring and how will i know if its fell off?
