tail light condensation
im sure this a topic thats been around a few times but..
i just got some altezza tail lights, had em on for a month, and tada they have condensation in them..
lousy seal on them i guess. i know ill need to silicone the seam around them, but i need to the water out first. i tried blow drying it but it just comes back.
help? i dont really want to have to buy new lights..

Re: tail light condensation
yeap. was expectin a "toss the altezza" comment heh. i like em. anyway, i plan on using a clear silicone (prob permatex), so it shouldnt very noticeable, if at all.
i just wanted to know could the moisture be removed without havin to take off the clear lense off?

Re: tail light condensation
you can use a hairdryer from the back, or stick them in the oven low heat maybe 150F and leave it in for a while.

I have Altezzas also and I like 'em. You probably have a cheap pair that are known for bad quality and fitment. Mine are hanging on without any condensation though so I don;t know what to suggest.

I also like the altezza look, i've had mine in since 1991 when I bought a Accord EX, they have never leaked nor have they ever gotten moisture in them.
Always go with what you like and not with what others give their opinions on.
After all you are the one who will be polishing your own car and when you get to those tailights- you will say Hot Damm - I sure do like those tails I put on this car of mine :
