No biggie Steve. I have no idea how to work with two cams, have only ever ****ed with SOHC Hondas, so I don't want to stray from my comfort zone.
Re: Engine Blew Up. Time To Rebuild.
well for the amount of money hell end up spending on a d16, he can buy a b16 and play with it, and be alot more happier then a d16. more power, more fun.etc
Re: Engine Blew Up. Time To Rebuild.
Well, wheres a really cheap place i can find engines? the cheapest I've found is www.jdmcarboy.com -- theres b16a's with about 10k miles for 2500$.
Anything better?

Re: Engine Blew Up. Time To Rebuild.
14:1 + 6psi boost (from a S/C) = kablooie
Blowers like 10:1 C/Rs which might get you close to 200hp on a d-series.
To get 350 HP on a d-series you need to use a turbo and set your C/R somewhere about 8:1 if you want to run on pump gas.
Re: Engine Blew Up. Time To Rebuild.
Some guys make their builds because they want to see what they can do with a certain motor. It may be SOHC, DOHC, or a damn lawn mower tractor.
There's nothing wrong with building up a D16 and trying to find what you can do to it within your budget.
