Rep Power: 289 I dont mean to beat a dead horse but...
I have been a member of this sight for about six months now, and actually respect certain members oppinions and would like to hear from some of you guys.
Ok, I love my 7th gen and would like to get a side project started! I'm gonna buy an EG or EK civic this month and wanna swap an h22 turbo or b18c turbo.
I just dont know which is more cost effictive and well... easier?? This will be my first swap also. My friends and I will peace this car together one part at a time from engine too turbo!
Any oppinions from power to cost will be considered... I wanna keep it a daily driver with minimal problems and still go to the track!!

Rep Power: 297 i'd go with a b18. its not as sought after as it used to be cuz everyone's swapping k-series into EG's and EK's. b18 is lighter too, and since your planning on turboing it, the h22's power advantage doesnt really make a diffence.

Boost a B18B, its a better boost platform anyways.
H-bombed hatchbacks only go straight.... its too front heavy to turn well.

Rep Power: 0 ^^ what about the k series?? How does it weigh against the old b's. IS it true that you can get over 200 whp out of a bolt on modded k20. I too would like to know I want to build a fwd dragger.

Rep Power: 299 go with the b18, easier swap, lighter, and stock for stock you can run higher boost than on a h22.
I have been thinking of doing the same but they get ripped off to much in so cal.

Rep Power: 263 i use to have a hatch and had the idea of doing a swap. but for the hatch, are your going to ever drive it on the streets? think about it. tags, tax, and registration. also think about insurance. if that **** gets jacked, dont you want it insured? i got quotes from my insurance company under my dads name and it still came up close to 2g's a year. just saying b/c i also went through this eg/ek phase. if you got the money do it
