Re: engine swap help!?

read the stickies here (do not ask in there - they are informative threads, write in there only if you have contributions to the thread)

https://www.civicforums.com/forums/2...nduction-swaps

read and undestand what is there.

then come back here in you own thread and ask again if answer is not there.

Okay, well money's not an issue so go to a shop and ask them to put a k20a or k24a2 in your car. Come back in a few days, pay your bill and you'll have a k-swapped 6g Civic.

I don't know what your asking..

I've never heard that in my life, and besides those silly weight arguments have never had much basis in fact. The DC5 and EM2 suspension geometry is is almost identical so handling will be fine.

To the OP, both engines have lots of opportunities for upgrades and improvement. If you do research then you'll find lots of information on the k20 and k24 engine, you need to ask more specific questions, no one can give you a straight forward answer to the questions your asking.

The k24a2 has a wider power band and significantly more torque, for street driving and handling around corners this will be a benefit. As always, there's no replacement for displacement.

The k20a is the most advanced of all the k-series engines, it has the highest red line and puts out the most stock power. The internals are the most technically advanced of any Honda engine ever made and its a favorite of race teams around the world. According to Spoon's Mr. Ichishima, the K20A is the best 4 cylinder engine, that basically says it all.
