I wanted to put up a post so that 30 years later after America has nuked Iran Korea and China to **** and back and they have done the same, and the politicians have bankrupted and corrupted us all and we're all living in mud huts held together by string and feces; someone will search the ancient tablets of knowledge known as the internet and find my car. It will live here eternally... unless the servers get obliterated. That would suck
Anyhoo thurr she blows, 2000 Honda Civic EX Milano Red Purchased December 2006 from Mincer Motors in Sanford, Florida. Car still had all original paperwork and original window sticker. It was all the in the way back of the dealer lot, under a tree in the shade like it was waiting for me. I had a 98 four door from 2002-2005 and I wanted a 2000 coupe so badly so I nearly creamed my britches when I saw it. $6,700 later it was mine! It was in decent shape, headlights were foggy and there was a small scratch on the passenger side door and it was up there in mileage but very well taken care of.
First thing I did was put an Alpine head unit in there because the stock radio sucked, got new speakers front and rear and away I went.
Next I got new headlights to replace the hazy ones and dropped the car on Neuspeeds. I found some GSR hammers with decent tires and threw them all together. Initially I wanted to leave the car stock but as most of us know, that doesn't really work out unless you're blessed with a type R and even then I don't think I could leave it completely stock.
I got a tanabe hyper medallion exhaust, header and intake in one package and spent an entire day install it. I got an airbag tray and a ebay racing wheel so I could sell the airbags to come up with some of the cash.
This is how she looked 1 month after I bought it. January 2008.

In about March 2007 I spun a bearing. I was devastated. Luckily I had been saving my pennies and I had enough to buy another engine. I figured, why the hell not, I always wanted an Si, I'll build a clone. So I started off on my adventure.

(yes that's PVC for an intake, I couldn't find one in time when the swap finished)
The swap took 3 months to finish completely, tuning included, but when I was done I had an Si tranny and a certified low mileage B20z. While it was being swapped I took the liberty of installing an ebay short shifter and "JDM CTR ****" gay i know but i was in a hurry and out of cash.
In August 2007 I purchased a 1985.5 Porsche 944 and put the Civic on the back burner for a while as I turboed the Porsche

Things stayed like that for a while until about June 2008. Finally I had enough of the maintenance on the Porsche and sold it off to a collector in Georgia. I had my Civic back again.

July 2008
I moved to gainesville in August 2008 and got a job at a Pizza place and moneys tarted pouring in like I hadn't seen since I worked at CircuitShitty. I bought new Michelin tires for it, perfected the b20Vtec... well almost....
January 2009. In fifth gear I accelerated from 2500-8000k rpm and the bottom didn't like it and threw a rod. ****. I bought a b16 from a guy I thought was legit in Orlando. Got it in the car to find it was SEIZED! ****DUDE! I got a hell of a deal on a P30 B16a with CTR valvetrain and IM with ITR cams and an extra tranny. I figured I could part out both the B20Vtec, the seized B16 and make up my cost. 1 week later I got my B16 put in and I loved it long time.

(circa March 2009)
Got a deal on Koni/GC shocks/struts/coil overs

August 2009
February 2010
My friend shaun has a 98 coupe with 17" Raching Hart CP-8s polished up almost look like chrome. I was joking with him one night and I said, I'll trade you my hammers for your racing harts. Shaun says ok. HAHAHA very funny i said. "No I'm serious, if you can get down here in 10 minutes you can have them." dude I flew across town and snatched them and traded him straight up.
This is how she looked in March 2010

April 2010
Get a deal on a GSR longblock. New Arp rod bolts ACL bearings ARP studs and main bolts. ITR water/oil pump timing belt, Ferrea valves for my B16 head, new seals machined crank and rods, most of you have seen it on my GSR build thread

Rolled out of my friend's garage/yard beginning of May 2010.
Got an s2000 wheel for the cheap

Tragedy once again. May 2010, BuddyClub headgasket blows for a second time. I put the car up for sale and away she went on Monday. I was sad to see her go. We had been through so much.
Span of almost 4 years
0 accidents
2 raccoons
6 tickets
12 tires
4 engines
3 trannys
3 steering wheels
countless thousands
6 exhaust set ups
3 sets of wheels
2 suspension set ups
50,000 miles of joy and heart ache
priceless.
you will be missed.

Re: Fond Farewell: Goodbye Frankenstein
yeah i picked one up friday 1996 Honda Civic CX hatchback. Red. Everytime I miss my frankenstein I hit the AC button in the hatch
in all seriousness, I do miss that little ****er. Power steering is nice. My hatch doesn't have it. But it also doesn't have the 300 extra pounds that coupe did. I'll have pictures of it as soon as it stops raining and I can wash it.

Re: Fond Farewell: Goodbye Frankenstein
can't decide if i want to do a 99-00 front end conversion on it though. It's kinda wierd being in a 96, it's almost identical to the 98 LX I had. I'll tell you what though man having ice cold air con is amazing.
