2002 Civic EX White 95K Miles - for $4200 -- good deal?

I found a White Honda Civic EX 2002 with 95K on it, White in excellent condition.
Just a few scuffs here and there and the tint looks crappy like someone washed it with cleaner but overall in excellent shape. I took it for a dive, look at everything, checked everything and it works. no oil or any other leaks. Oil and transmission fluid smells clean but not sure if they changed it.

I looked up the car fax and it was bought in Orlando in 2001, sold again in 2006 with 56k miles on it. Sold again in 2009 with 69k miles and sold again in may 2013 with 92k so the 95k seems legit.

Tires have tread but look a little dry rotted like it has been sitting but drove it on the highway, back roads, no noises or strange sounds, I did tight turns and sudden stops and everything seems good. I look in the wheel wells with a flashlight, under the front and back and so rust or anything else out of the ordinary.

ok now the wierd part.. When I opened the trunk the car alarm went off and I dont have the FOB to turn it off and I put the key in the ignition and it turned off. He said it looks like they added an after market alarm so my question is this something I can just go to a garage and have them remove or make me a key fob for?

First things first, with that mileage, I'd check if major maintenance was performed (e.g. timing belt, water pump, tensioner). That's recommended to change at something like 80k. If not, (my local) dealership charges $650 to do that. If you do a DIY job, it can run you something along the lines of a couple hundred bucks, plus time out of your day. My first time changing it took the better part of 6 hours, but now I can do it, start to finish (that is, engine fired up) within 4 hours. Just some food for thought.

I'd also take a look at any rubber bushings. My motor mount bushings were pretty much done when I rebuilt my engine at 145k, but I noticed the mounts were cracked well before then. I was just poor and lazy, and willing to put up with the extra vibrations. My LCA compliance bushings were pretty shot, too. Those aren't necessarily expensive, just a royal pain in the ***. More food for thought.

As far as the alarm goes, you'd have to check what alarm they installed and see what shops around sell those components/program fobs for you, if it's even possible. I don't see why it wouldn't be, since you can always buy replacement fobs for just about every alarm out there.
