Re: My beautiful EM2... Rear-Ended!!
Well guys I got ~$10k back from Insurance with car value and after pain and suffering.
I'm buying two cars as of now, since my fathers broke down and I need one too, here's the first one bought just yesterday which my dad will use:
1998 Honda Prelude 2.2L 200HP DOHC VTEC H Engine
I was allowed to drive it home and I just couldn't believe the power this car has!
It feels so strong compared to my old 1.7L 127HP SOHC VTEC Civic.
Have to say I'm happy after all that's happened.
What car can I buy now with $6k that's sporty as well? I'd like a 5 seater but 4 would be alright.
Forget the Mazda, Honda all the way baby!

$6k..
If you want something that can comfortably seat 4 people, I'd be looking for a DB integra.

Re: My beautiful EM2... Rear-Ended!!
Thanks for the responses guys.
Today I came across a 2DR Black on Black 2002 Honda Accord EX-L V6 3.0L 200HP for $5100.
Car has 112,000 actual miles on it.
I'm wondering if it'll be a good purchase, the seller is a private owner. He's selling it for his sister since according to him, she knows nothing about cars. Now here's where I'm scratching my head.
The car is a salvage title, with fixed rear damage the body and all was repaired professionally. Interior and exterior are a 9/10 both. I asked about alignment he said it has no problems aligning. I took it for a test drive and the steering wheel seems to be off a bit, i need to hold it to my left so it can drive straight. He said it was because I wasn't on a straight road, although we were driving on one! Acceleration feels powerful. In comparison to the Honda Prelude should the Accords steering have more of a loose feel?
My former Civic and the new Prelude we bought have had the problem with steering wheel alignment but when I took them to the alignment shop they were both fixed. Due to bad alignments or loss of alignment.
My dad knows how to work on cars, he drove it himself and thought it was good. Before he had driven it my dad checked the cars computer with his OBDII scanner and no codes showed up so I guess that was a good sign. Although upon looking at the dashboard I noticed both the "TCS" and "ABS" lights are on and remain on, no flashing or anything.
According to the seller he replaced the ABS sensor and now all it needs is a light reset. Is this true? He said if he resets the ABS light the TCS light will shut off as well because they are "linked" together? He told me he'll take the car to get the problem fixed tomorrow before he sells it to me (if I decide to buy).
Told me he'd hold the car for me until tomorrow as well. I really like this car it's just a disappointment that it has those 3 problems. He showed me the cars title and the fact that they bought it with 77k miles with the salvage title already at the top.
So I'm just wondering is this a good purchase or not?
If I bought it and the problems persist, are they an easy fix?
I want to get the car to customize it something like this one:

that sounds like way too many excuses of things that shouldve been fixed before you ever saw the car. i can vouch for the loose steering tho, the 2001+ accords have really loose steering response. it could also be the tires to blame depending on whats installed.

Got a call from the seller he said he fixed it, but should I trust his words?
I need a 5 seater coupe but those are very limited.
Gearbox, the car is stock all around.
Anibis, thanks but I don't need another 4 seater vehicle lol.
Seby, yeah thinking about waiting it off.
Maybe I should go see it one last time though see how he fixed it?

That's way too expensive for that car since its a salvage... $4000 would be better. But even then, I'd stay away from any cars with a salvage title.

So if he's calling you then you're probably the only guy considering it... It sounds pretty shady man... wait a bit, be smart about it, keep loooking, who knows, maybe a better deal is right around the corner

Agreed, $5k with a salvage title is to high and it would be difficult for you to sell eventually, it also sounds like it has a lot of problems. Steer clear.
A 7th gen accord is a good choice though

Run away, go far go fast!
For inspiration on a salvage title: https://www.civicforums.com/forums/1...e-vehicle.html
I think a 4-door hatch is more what you're looking for but, you ain't gonna get it from Honda.
