aem intake

just a simple question and i was wondering how common the problem is if at all. do aem intakes have issues with hitting the hood? ive seen peoples pics elsewhere and they have tape or foam on there aem intakes and i was wondering if this is usual?

you really have to make sure its pushed down far enough into the TB. not touching, cause it will transfer heat to the pipe, but very close. some people just clamp it in with way too much gap and it will be too high.
